What is being asked for
In recent weeks we have discussed changing the table saw, my proposal is to go for the Axminster AC254TS, it’s not a cabinet saw nor is it a cabinet saw.
Why/how this will be good to have
It uses an induction style motor so if anything happens to the motor then it’s quite an easy fix, it has a cast iron top and the blade tilt is done via knobs making it easy to adjust the angle of the cut.
The blade guard features dust extraction and is attached to the riving knife, so we would need to make adjustments to our current crosscut sled but it is doable.
The saw came out around 2020 costing £800 at the time, so it’s not an old machine and I can’t imagine it’s seen a lot of use.
This model has been replaced by the AW254Ts I couldn’t see any difference in features.
