PPE

The lathe is fairly safe until it isn't. It has extreme power and does not care about you.

Clothing

  1. Long hair tied back and covered (see lathe scalping on youtube)
  2. No loose clothing (see lathe strangulation)
  3. No gloves (see lathe skin degloving)
  4. No Jewellery – necklaces, rings, bracelets
  5. Safety glasses - One metal chip will mess up your eye
  6. Consider Ear defenders
  7. Stout footwear
